3 Months Off

I have been away for the summer, took some radio stuff with me but I couldn’t be bothered with erecting an antenna, far too many other attractions.

Since my return I can’t stoke up any enthusiasm either. At this time last year there were releases of software from the US, BAD untested software which I had great pain with and lots of wasted time convincing the author that it was rubbish and not my fault which to software writers these days seems to be the standard response, plus “well it works on my machine in the lab”.

Before I went away I was bugged by more software / firmware from the UK, it kind of wrecks my faith in the standard of Ham Radio these days. Do I really want to handle others poor attempts, my own programming is not high class but by golly if it don’t werk proper I will make sure I get it right.
